Lexington, MA, April 3, 2018 – For the fourth year, the Daymark Ice Cream Truck is rolling again! The “one of a kind” ice cream truck is a customer favorite sharing frozen treats at company offices and corporate events throughout New England. Serving a record number of more than 16,500 ice cream treats over the last 3+ summers, the truck made stops at numerous fundraising and customer appreciation events in 2017.
Why does Daymark have an ice cream truck? The customized truck was the brainchild of Tim Donovan, President at Daymark, who back in 2014 found an old ice cream truck for sale. During the spring of 2014 Daymark employees volunteered their time over several weekends and clocked over 2,500 man-hours to refurbish the truck. In the end, the vision of transforming something close to heading to the junkyard into a unique and fully functional ice cream truck became a reality. “Bringing the truck ‘back to life’ was a great Daymark team-building experience,” said Donovan. “The best part has been using it to support so many worthy charity events.”
