Lexington, MA, September 21, 2017 – The “one of a kind” Daymark Ice Cream Truck wraps up another successful season of keeping New Englanders refreshed and cool, serving a record number of more than 4,500 ice creams during the summer of 2017. The truck made stops at multiple fund raising and customer appreciation events.
The customized truck was the brainchild of Tim Donovan, President at Daymark, who back in 2014 found an old ice cream truck for sale. During the spring of 2014 Daymark employees spent several weekends refurbishing the truck inside and out. “The truck was in pretty bad shape,” said Donovan. “But I knew we would have enough employees volunteer. In fact, bringing the truck ‘back to life’ was a great Daymark team-building experience.
The summer of 2017 was the busiest for the truck serving over 4,500 ice creams at customer sites, charity golf tournaments and worthy fundraisers including the Franciscan Children’s Road Race and Frates ALS Research and Support Fund.
As fall quickly approaches, the Daymark Ice Cream Truck will get some rest, but it can be reserved for a good cause in 2018 by filling out the Daymark Ice Cream Truck reservation form.
